Kathy Cannistra is an artist, educator, maker, and scientist. She has a formal background in art, with a BFA from the Maryland Institute of Art and a MFA from Washington University in St. Louis. Kathy combined her love for education and the arts during her nine-year career as an exhibit developer at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum. She found her long lost family of makers at the Milwaukee Makerspace in 2013 and has been a dedicated member ever since. In 2017 she started her own educational exhibit company, KM Exhibits LLC, in order to pursue her dream of creating multi-sensory educational experiences for both children and adults.
